12 days of christmas gay
It’s that time of the year again, where I rest down in my cozy Christmas sweater and make my very own naughty list. There’s a lot to reminisce about this year. I finally got over past relationships, ho-ed around for some time in the middle, and got into a new one in the second half. All this while Section 377 was being hotly debated in the background. And as we all know by now, we gays can happily coexist and copulate. So here’s an ode to this joyful season where I recount the 12 types of dudes I met through the course of this year.

Raising voices and pointing toes exuberantly in song this holiday season, the Gay Men’s Chorus of Washington, DC (GMCW) presents The Holiday Show — their annual holiday extravaganza — at the Lincoln Theatre. Under the baton of Artistic Director Theo Kano, Associate Conductor C. Paul Heins, and Assistant Conductor Ronté Pierce, this festive evening is a cheery antidote to the chilly winds of the last not many weeks.
Celebrating holiday music and traditions from all around the society, this year’s Holiday Show also acts as a preview for their International Choral Festival coming to DC in June 2025 for the World Pride Festival. Singing in Spanish and Hebrew, Yoruba and Tagalog, this year’s set was joyful, playful, and delightfully thoughtful.
From the loud and boisterous “Christmas Isn’t Christmas ‘Til You Get Here,” “Betelehemu,” and the entertaining “TeXmas Hold ‘Em” to the mindful and still “Silent Night” and “See Amid the Winter’s Snow/Lo How a Rose,” The Holiday Show showcased the full range of the season with enough energy to turn any Grinch or Scrooge into a holiday fan. Matt McConkey Discusses Sex and the City: The Movie
Homophilia podcaster Matt McConkey loves this movie during the holidays because it reminds him of escaping from his family to see it alone in his room on his laptop, the way that God and SJP intended it to be watched. But it’s also all about the spirit of the holidays, being with friends, finding forgiveness, and trying to catch that short-lived flash of peen when your hot neighbor is taking a shower. That is the real Christmas miracle. Matt also tries to tell which Christmas characters are Carries, Charlottes, Mirandas, or Samanthas. Rudolph, definitely a Samantha.
