The second spin-off to Grey’s Anatomy. Set in Seattle, the series focuses on a group of heroic firefighters of the Seattle Fire Department at Station 19 from the captain down the ranks to the newest recruit in their personal and professional lives.

The show centers around Andy Herrera, who was practically raised at Seattle’s Station 19. She is a confident firefighter who is also the daughter of Pruitt Herrera, the formidable chief of the firehouse. Capt. Pruitt was Andy’s primary inspiration to become a firefighter and is a mentor to both her and Jack Gibson, the lieutenant at the station. Jack is as fearless as Andy is by-the-books, but when the two are together, sparks fly and opposites attract.

The two are joined by Maya Bishop, Dean Miller, Travis Montgomery, Victoria Hughes, and the station’s newest addition, rookie Ben Warren. Ben is Miranda’s husband from Grey’s Anatomy. The team also works closely with Seattle PD, often running into Andy’s former flame Ryan Tanner.

  A firefighter and an OB-GYN stride into a bar. 

  To some, it might sound like the launch of a joke, but for many in the LGBTQIA+ collective, it marks the start of a love story between Station 19’s Maya Bishop (Danielle Savre) and Carina DeLuca (Stefania Spampinato).  

  The iconic ship, affectionately known as "Marina," debuted on February 20, 2020 during Season 3, Episode 5 of Station 19, titled "Into the Woods." It added a new spark to the series, largely thanks to the chemistry and dedication of the actors portraying these characters. In a subsequent Instagram Live with Savre, Spampinato recalled the first time they read their scene together during the table scan, stating, “The chemistry was insane between us. We had literally just met, and it was like, 'Boom! Boom! Boom!’”

  While their love story started with a single scene lasting just over 60 seconds, it left a lasting impression on the cast, crew, and the passionate fan community that remains dedicated to them nearly four years later.
