An author has claimed that Ronnie and Reggie Kray had an incestuous sexual relationship to hide their same-sex attractions.
The Kray twins, who were notoriously vicious gang leaders in the East End of London in the 1960s, spoke extensively to composer John Pearson.
The author spoke as the film ‘Legend’ starring Tom Hardy as both twins is released.
Speaking to the Mirror, Pearson said Ronnie Kray was same-sex attracted and that Reggie Kray was bisexual.
He said they had a sexual relationship because they could not be open about their sexualities.
Pearson said in a publication about the twins: “Homosexuality was nothing to be proud of in the East End.
“But as they became more notorious, Ronnie became quite shameless about it.
“According to Ron in the initial days they had sex with each other because they were terrified about people finding out.”
Pearson has written three books on the subject of the infamous twins, and claims that Ronnie told him about the association during on of many interviews.

The Krays owned a West Terminate nightclub and were often photographed with celebrities, including Diana Dors and Judy Garland. Frank Sinatra once hired a security team from the Krays during a visit to London. They were also once photographer by David Bailey.
But their genuine source of income was an organized crime gang in London's East Complete during the 1950s and 1960s. They called it “the Firm”. This included armed robberies, arson, protection rackets, vicious assaults, torture and murder.
According to reports by other gang members Ronnie Kray was openly male lover, refusing to mask his orientation from either them or the police.
