Nude yoga gay

Yogi Aaron Costa Rica

Yogi Aaron, aka Aaron Star, began the practice of Naked Yoga to appeal primarily to a lgbtq+ male audience. He achieved fame in the yoga earth with his DVD series “Hot Nude Yoga,” which allowed aspiring yogis to practice nude in the privacy of their own homes. This is his story.

In 2001, I founded Hot Nude Yoga. Fresh off the boat, literally, (my previous career was in the cruise industry) I pulled into NYC on January 2 on the train. My objective was really small: live a uncomplicated life, develop a small clientele of private yoga students, and deepen my own experience in the practice.

What transpired over the next few months was anything but.

As I worked to start myself, I inadvertently started what later became the popular Warm Nude Yoga. As a gay guy, I thought other gay men would feel more supported working with me as their instructor, alongside people who understood and recognized them. Back in 2001, there was little support for men in yoga, let alone queer men. Much has changed since then.

In order to grow my clientele I knew I would require to introduce myself to the community—and I would need a hook.  I had grown up

There are a number of reasons to practice naked. While our population often equates entity naked with sex, other cultures acquire found that creature naked removes many social and economic barriers. It is also very freeing to move the body without the restriction of clothing, and yoga provides a great way to deepen body acceptance. Also, creature naked can take up many of our vulnerabilities. By facing these fears in the context of a secure and supportive collective of men, we naturally become more grounded and relaxed with ourselves.

Men of all shapes, sizes, colors, ages and physical abilities are welcome to join. Whether you are straight, gay or bi; new to yoga or a long time yogi – you are welcome. All you need is yourself, a bottle of water and a towel and a yoga mat.

Logistics: Classes are donat

Our Naked Yoga classes are for men in Sydney or visiting Sydney who are interested in the practice of yoga without the restrictions of clothing.

This community holds classes on Wednesday evenings, Saturday mornings and and Sunday afternoons.

Our goal is to provide an opportunity for genuine male community and holistic social interaction between supportive, centered individuals who love the practice of yoga as well as the company of other naked men. We strive to provide an atmosphere of comradery, body-acceptance, and sensuality (not sexuality). Although sensuality is an intrinsic part of this group exercise, it should be obvious that this is not intended to be a blatantly sexual venue.

The organization is open to individual men of all ages (18 years and over) and body types. You don't have to hold a perfect body to join and attend our classes. All men are welcomed--gay, bi or linear. Diversity among members only adds to the dimension of this group of men, leading to a richer yoga experience. You will work . . . you will sweat . . . and you'll love it.
