We quickly realised on our first visit that Miami was welcoming to LGBTQ+ travellers – more on that below – but we were very happy to discover just how gay Miami was.
We have been travelling to Miami every year for the past 6 years – we always find ourselves there when we take our annual Atlantis gay cruise, and we usually only spend a couple of days either side of the cruise – so our previous gay Miami experience was always a little limited.
However, this year we flew out a occupied week prior to the cruise, and so naturally we decided to really explore the packed extent of ‘gay Miami.’
