Peter’s hands were already shaking when he walked into Tony’s workshop.

He was going to do it. He was going to tell Tony today.

Tony looked over at Peter. “I’m getting the hint you want me to go to Pride,” he said, his eyes lit up with fond amusement.

“It’s not that I want you to go to Pride,” Peter replied, as casually as he could. “It’s just th

Spider-Man a lgbtq+ superhero? If it’s right for the story, then why not?

During a recent interview with Business Weekly, Andrew Garfield had some engaging things to exclaim about the achievable sexuality of Spider-Man’s alter-ego, Peter Parker.

He said: ‘Why can’t we discover that Peter is exploring his sexuality?  It’s hardly even groundbreaking… So why can’t he be gay?’

While it seems more like spitballing than a serious consideration, it raises an interesting question: What’s to stop any superhero coming out?

In the case of the movie version, Peter’s burgeoning association with Emma Stone’s Gwen Stacy was one of the few highlights of The Amazing Spider-Man so it seems unlikely that director Marc Webb will develop this queer story thread.

And that’s really the crux of the argument.

Just as with the reboot of the Ultimate Comics: Spider-Man which surfed the wave of controversy over making Spider-Man black to travel on to fantastic success, it’s about what’s right for the story, nature and context.

The storyline that preceded the Ultimate reboot was traumatic and meant a big upheaval in the character’s dynamic. It made sense to travel with something unlike

'Spider-Man' Actor Tom Holland Catches Flak For Gay Role

Tom Holland is playing a gay man in a new TV show ... but it's not sitting well with some of his 'Spider-Man' fans while others are defending him.

Holland -- who recently announced he will return to the superhero role in "Spider Man 4" -- came under fire on social media Friday for his part in the Apple TV series, "The Crowded Room."

In one scene, Holland and another bloke have steamy sex, which sparked the online outrage.

One person tweeted, "Tom Gone Wrong #NotMySpiderMan."

Another wrote, "LMAOOOOOOO dis is really somebody’s favorite Spider-Man"

It's probably a mix of unabashed homophobia and people who ponder only a gay player should play a homosexual role.

But some of Tom's fervent supporters responded to the online haters by arguing previous 'Spider-Man' actors had taken similar LGBTQ roles, such as Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield.

One admirer wrote, "For the people commenting on Tom Holland’s scene on his new show « the crowded room », get a look at the others Spider-Man actors…It’s called acting."

This article contains spoilers for all Spider-Man movies and Marvel movies so far.

Who can blame us? After months of anticipation to see just who would be in the fresh Spider-Man: No Way Home and eternity of blocking hashtags on social media to avoid spoilers. Maybe, in the age of streaming and home theatre extravagance, the only real value left in cinemas is audience reactions. Marvel has delivered quite a few of those. Think Captain America holding Thor's hammer under thunderous applause from moviegoers. Yet, nothing, and I mean nothing could compare to the collective gasps that emerged on that fateful night where portals opened to let in not one but two legacy spidermen into the MCU.

But this was not the highlight for me, not even close. You view, about two-thirds of the way in, as the final battle approached we got some astonishing spider banter (TM). In a random moment of affection the line “I love you guys” was uttered by the internet’s new favorite white boy Andrew Garfield. This line, directed at the two other Peter Parkers in the universe was all it took to send me down a long line of suppressed memories from 2012-2014.
